Just a quick update about everything happening around the Defiant RPG campaign. :-)
New Defiant Lore Movie on Youtube
If you want to introduce your players to the Defiant Lore, and they are not keen on reading the rulebook, point them to this film:

In 25 minutes, they'll be introduced to all the information their Characters probably possess. They can watch it in their free time or listen to it on their way to the First Meeting.
We plan on doing two more films like that, but it takes quite a lot of time and effort, so you'll have to wait a bit for them.

What we're working on right now

A lot is happening in the world of Defiant right now, and here’s a quick roundup.
The newest Defiant supplement is available on DriveThruRPG. Defiant Subjects focuses on Courtiers and their relationships with the Defiant Royalty. Naturally, all Backers receive this PDF for free, so check your inboxes for new emails from DriveThruRPG. 😊
Most of you should have already received printed Defiant RPG books by now. Depending on where you live, at the very least, you should know the date when the packages arrive. If you do not receive either the book or a tracking number by the end of the week, contact us via direct KS message, email: [email protected] or Discord – we’ll check what’s going on.
We know that, unfortunately, some of your packages got damaged. Thankfully, it’s a really small percentage. If your books came in bad condition, please contact us through the same means as above, and include a photo of the books (we need this to sort it out with our partners). We’ll try to help you out as soon as possible!
The end of a long road…
It’s been over a year since the crowdfunding campaign ended, and the true work on bringing Defiant to life in all of its glory has begun. I’ve got the be honest. The last two months were pretty depressing, with the books seemingly sucked in a vortex somewhere between Europe and the US. When the print house completed the project back in March, we were planning on celebrating the day when the books reached the US warehouse. By the time it did happen, it was more of a relief than excitement. Just like the books, we felt stuck, unable to move forward until all of this has been resolved. And now – finally - we’re here.
…and a beginning of a new one!
Since you’ve started posting pictures of the freshly opened packages, we felt a new surge of creative energy! That’s why Defiant Subjects is finally ready, and Defiant Van Heim Tower is coming together nicely. I’ve also started putting together different Defiant Online modules to combine them into a usable platform.
We believe in Defiant, we believe we can bring you more stuff that you’ll like, and we believe there are still plenty more people around that will enjoy the game once they have a chance to get to know it. We’ve got many plans for the future, but right now, delivering all the stretch goals is our priority. We’ve promised you something, and we intend to keep that promise. 😊
To GenCon and beyond
It’s 3 AM in Poland right now, and in a few hours time, we need to get into the car, drive 2 hours to the airport, take a 10-and-a-half-hour flight to Chicago, and jump on a train for the last 5-hour part of the journey. In other words – we’re on our way to Gen Con!
Oh, by the way – tell your friends they can buy Defiant at Gen Con! It will be sold by Imaging Games. Their booth number is 3063, and buying the book during the con is the fastest way to get a hold of it. We’ll be starting our online shop in a few weeks, but for now, the Imaging Games’ booth is the only source of Defiant books in the US. ;-P
Since it takes so long to get to Indianapolis from where we live, we decided to stay in the States for two additional weeks and do a bit of sightseeing. We will be checking the mail, the Discord server, and reading your messages and comments, but it may take us a bit longer than usual to answer and help you out. Sorry for the inconvenience. We’ll be back home on August 20th, and it’s business as usual from that point on. 😊
A big "Thank you" to all of You
I really feel that an important step of “the whole Defiant project” is behind us now. And I’d like to thank you all so much for supporting us since the beginning. You have no idea how valuable your posts, comments, and suggestions are to us.
I had my doubts about crowdfunding. The idea that we promise something, get paid upfront and then have to work hard to prove that we did deserve the money felt kind of intimidating and extremely stressful. And, to a point, this is how it works, and sometimes it does become exhausting.
But what I didn’t know back then was how many people you get to meet along the way. Even if it’s a single comment or a short chat, you learn about all those different, fascinating individuals who share your love and passion for the hobby. You start living in 5 different time zones, talking with people from all over the world. And it turns out I absolutely love this! Thank you for an amazing, exciting (if sometimes a bit tiring) year! You’re the best!
At last! (US & Canada shipment update)

The US package left the print house in late March. Now, after three and a half months, the books have finally reached the warehouse! This really is the last stretch!
Before writing this update, we talked with the warehouse and triple-checked that the books were in their hands. The fulfillment company needs to finish its current project and should start sending the books your way early next week.
I’ve already given you so many estimates that at this point, I’m afraid I might jinx it by coming up with a potential delivery date, but… I believe that depending on where exactly you live, you should be getting your books before or after the next weekend (with the east coast getting them first and some remote locations needing to wait even longer than that).
Please, once you get the package, send us a message or write a comment here, so we know they actually arrived.
Three and a half months… Man, I’d never guess it would take that long. Right now, we’re still holding off with the festivities. We’ll start celebrating once we know that at least a single US Backer got their package. 😊
